Verified Badge
Trust as a Service — identity verification, quality attestation, assessment fees, and badge maintenance.
Trust as a Service
The Verified badge is not a purchase — it's a trust attestation. You pay for us to:
- Validate your identity — confirm you are who you say you are
- Attest your score — confirm your conformance score is accurate and true
- Continuously monitor — re-check quality on every publish
⚠️Warning
The Verified badge cannot be purchased outright. It is earned through identity verification and maintaining a high conformance score. If your score drops, your badge is at risk.
Requirements
Two conditions must be met simultaneously:
- Identity Check
- Publisher identity verified through documentation
- Quality Score
- Conformance score ≥ 0.90 (Gold or higher)
Both official and partner domains can be verified. Community domains (com.*) are not verified — their verified field is always false.
Assessment Fees
Assessment fees cover the cost of identity verification, score attestation, and continuous monitoring:
| Fee Type | Amount | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Per tag | €100 | Per year |
| Per field | €10 | Per year |
ℹ️Note
Assessment fees scale with your schema size. A domain with 5 tags and 30 fields costs: (5 × €100) + (30 × €10) = €800/year for Verified status.
Badge Maintenance
Once earned, the badge requires continuous maintenance:
Ongoing — Every Publish
Score is automatically recalculated. If it drops below Gold (0.90), a maintenance notice is sent.
Annual Re-Verification
Identity documents are re-checked once per year to ensure continued validity.
Score Drops Below Silver (0.70)
90-day grace period begins. Publisher is notified to improve the schema.
Grace Period Expires
Badge is revoked. Schema remains published but loses Verified status. Re-apply once score recovers.
Minimum Threshold
The Verified badge requires Gold (≥ 0.90) to earn, but tolerates a temporary dip to Silver (≥ 0.70) with a 90-day grace window. Dropping below Silver triggers immediate revocation.
What Verified Means for Consumers
When a consumer or AI agent sees verified: true, they know:
- The publisher's identity has been independently confirmed
- The schema quality is attested and meets Gold+ standards
- The score is continuously monitored and not self-reported
- Active maintenance is in place — this isn't a one-time stamp
